In Update #21, "Mother May I? Part 2", we learn that while Shem 'Etzem's holy form may easily defeat the Bavel Macrostructure’s minions, it’s no match for Em Qeriah’s lack of seriousness. Will Shem’s hair-trigger temper prevent him from becoming the Evaluator of Names?
While this issue mostly continues the arguments and power struggles among the rising generation of Holy Tongue Society leadership and the old, it also shows how Shem can revert from his powerful, holy שום form back to his still-powerful, but baser עצם form.
Adam comes up for a good reason at the end of this update. Get ready to learn more in the next update!
(By the way, this webcomic will discontinue the numerical "Episode" system where some episodes last for multiple updates. While the next update would technically be Episode 16, this website's formatting plus ones like Webtoon and Tapas make the old system archaic. We'll just stick to numbering according to updates.)
Other news
Although it's not fully implemented, we updated the Wordpress theme to Toocheke Premium, which will allow us to use more Patreon and WooCommerce integration. If you've noticed that the site was slower recently, it's because we were trying to implement those features.
I'm hoping to ask around to figure out a way to have the site run reasonably quickly plus have our own online store and bonus webpages for Patreon subscribers only. By the way, please sign up for my Patreon! Even a dollar a month adds up...
Also, keep checking our wiki for updates. I've been adding beta sections to the Milhamah RPG storytelling game, plus there are all sorts of details about the comic there.
Anyway, thanks for reading, and I hope to bring more updates soon!
Not a whole lot of news today. Just trying out different Clip Studio Paint techniques and sketching Tiqwah Tawit in black and white. I’m not sure yet how much time black and white inking and tones save compared to the color vector stuff I’ve done with Animate, but I’m guessing it will save at least one-third the time.
While making Tiqwah, I might as well create some tentative stats for her:

In the meantime, I’ve also been fleshing out the command structure for the ‘Ivrit Revival Movement for the Milhamah RPG. Keep following for more news ahead!
‘Ezrä ‘Ezer, the auxiliary verb, is a junior member of the Holy Tongue Society who’s an assistant to Pelë Po’al. While growing up on a farm gave him super strength, he also has a knack for a mechanics. And the Assistant Arm on his back gives him an additional helping hand!
This bionic arm, which is standard equipment among the Society, not only packs a powerful punch that fractures foes. Due to its ties to the זרע shoresh root, it also launches parasitic seed berries that can force enemies to fight for you! The only weakness it can’t overcome is ‘Ezrä’s compulsion to support his friends at all costs!
This drawing is the first digital art that I made on my new Wacom Cintiq 16 tablet via Clip Studio Paint. In 2021, I plan on developing my digital drawing skills in tandem with my standard vector art. If I can make CSP art quickly and efficiently, I might switch the comic over to B&W manga style in exchange of releasing more content quickly!

The Stiletto Fly will bleed you dry! This insect is rooted in the חדד shoresh, which deals with pointiness. Four of this insect’s six legs have daggers attached to their feet. Swarms of them live in the mountainous areas around the Ḥod Peak.
The following is a draft of the Stiletto Fly’s proposed stats:
The Jagged Point is a common javelin that the ‘Ivrit Revival Movement uses in thrown or melee combat. Based on the חדד shoresh root, its mysterious iron alloy tip easily pierces most armor. Two sharp blades orbit and swirl around the spiked spearhead, giving it slashing as well as piercing damage. But only the most sharp-witted warriors can wield this without injuring themselves.
The Jagged Point has a close melee reach and a moderate thrown reach. It does DOM+3D slash and pierce damage. Hit targets must must make a successful LIF save or gain the bleedingailment.
The Crown Cap Badge is a headgear type that boasts a distinguished insignia. Prime marks and circumflexes surround a glorious “tag” crownlet in the center. The ‘Ivrit Revival Movement bestows these ornaments only on warriors who prove their noteworthy status. This item is based on the תוג shoresh root, which deals with tag crowns on Hebrew letters as well as badges, labels and ornaments.
In the “Milhamah” games, the Crown Cap Badge will likely be golden rank rarity and will be found fairly early in the game. It will tentatively grant a character DOM +2D and GRA +1D. But in exchange, sentient enemies are likelier to target the wearer due to it increasing enemy aggro.
In other news…
A couple of days ago I did more coloring and item design, this time for the Nesheq Weapon. Based on the נשק shoresh root, this launcher will let players fire a rocket that explodes into flaming kisses.
In the games, the Nesheq will likely have carnelian rank rarity, and it will be found in the early to middle levels. Users may target an enemy by using the Ranged Weapons skill or the נשק shoresh. A hit does CRE+3D damage. If rolling for נשק, the target may fall under the charmedailment if the target fails a GRA resistance roll. Range: Medium, Damage Area: Medium.
