The Faultfincher is the Avgad equivalent of a Galapagos woodpecker finch who lives in the deep, dark Ḥatitah Well Pits. His Darwinian roots caused his beak to evolve into a drill over time, and his eyesight to become very refined, even in low-light environments.

But being holed up in such a place has also devolved his personality — into a grouchy, overly critical one. When he gets mad, his drill can cause small earthquakes.

しかしながら、そのような場所に閉じこもっていることは、彼の性格を劣化させました。不機嫌で過度に批判的な性格になってしまったのです。彼が怒ると、彼のドリルは小さな地震を引き起こすことがあります。

The Eye-stinging Cold Chisel is an icy blade that miners used when digging the Ḥatitah Well Pits. The whirring drill bit at the tip can bore through gemstones, and the holes along the plough-shaped blade help the blade’s aerodynamic swing. The meticulous eyes intelligently give the chisel a sense of perception and can also emit beams of blinding light. Nanas dwarves prefer using these blades for finer jewelry work.

目に刺さるコールドチゼルは、鉱夫がハティタ井戸掘りに使用した氷のような刃です。先端のブンブン回るドリルビットは宝石を貫通し、鋤の形をした刃の穴は、刃の空気力学的なスイングを助けます。細部にこだわった目が、このチゼルに知覚の感覚を与え、まばゆい光のビームを放射することもできます。ナナスの小人たちは、この刃を使ってより細かい宝飾品の作業を好んで行います。

Ḥatitah Well Pits

The Ḥatitah Well Pits are part of a deep, dangerous reservoir that serves as Mattanah City’s main water source.

The Bavel Macrostructure drilled deep into the earth to reach this spot, so it’s not as freezing cold here when compared to the Qerur Icehouses. Since it took trial and error to bore through, the well is riddled with pits and drill bits. But brave explorers and treasure hunters may still find some glistening jewels in the rough.
