The Faultfincher is the Avgad equivalent of a Galapagos woodpecker finch who lives in the deep, dark Ḥatitah Well Pits. His Darwinian roots caused his beak to evolve into a drill over time, and his eyesight to become very refined, even in low-light environments.
But being holed up in such a place has also devolved his personality — into a grouchy, overly critical one. When he gets mad, his drill can cause small earthquakes.

INKTOBER DAY 11 (EAGLE): The Fallout Griffin is an mutant eagle/bobcat/lynx hybrid that developed due to exposure to radioactive fallout. That exposure makes the griffin powerful but clumsy, as it often drops from the sky due to molting too many feathers. While it’s a ferocious predator, its favorite food is fruit.
This brooding bird, dressed in tattered sackcloth and ashes, paces the Mattanah marketplace, stuffing emergency provisions in its baglike bill. It warns the public with its placard (which says “The war is near” in Imperial Aramaic) and prophesies that a tremendous storm of attacks are on the horizon.
What will be the Bavel Macrostructure’s reaction to all this commotion? Only the pelican knows!
The Sackcloth Pelican is powered by the שקק shoresh root, which governs sackcloth, sacks, storms, attacks, commotion and more.
A Lilit (pl. Liliyot) is a feminine Kind of humanoid owl bat that lives in Bavel territory. ‘Aravot authorities classify them as demonic and irredeemably evil.
Liliyot have the power of night on their side, creating fields of darkness that inhibit victims’ vision. During nocturnal hunts, Liliyot prey on men and chicken coops for food. Besides their talons, they also are adept at using sharp chakram-like ring jewelry to attack opponents. Their martial arts culture specializes in twirling and aerial loops.
The Lilit comes from the לול shoresh root, which governs loops, night and Lilit/Lilith.
