As we work on the second demo release for the “Milhamah” video game, this time we’ll be focusing on the inventory system. And that means making and equipping more items. Here is the Hiatus Helmet that I sketched last month, now in color. Next week I’ll reveal a video devlog that shows how I create and color my work digitally!
The hiatus helmet is a piece of Holy Tongue Society headgear that stops enemies in their tracks. The goblet-shaped helmet has a satellite dish that collects info of a target’s whereabouts. Meanwhile, an octagonal radioactive gem fuels an attached optical cannon, which fires an immobilizing stun ray.
The Society uses this equipment for delicate missions involving break-ins, infiltration and captures, though it’s handy for frontal assaults too. The gear is based on the קבע shoresh root and its broader family, dealing with helmets, chalices, immobilization and attachments.
In other news, “Milhamah” video game progress is progressing strongly. The goal is to get to work on a devlog video this weekend and release the first demo in the next two weeks. I hope to make the game both in English and Japanese, so here is a Japanese “Milhamah: Fighting Words” logo that I recently did!
Milhamah: Fighting Words
Feeling silenced by the world? Join the Holy Tongue Society’s linguistic warriors as they use ancient alphabet powers to fight speech stranglers, truth manglers and a rebuilt Tower of Babel. And get immersed in a story that prizes freedom, candor and fighting back against overwhelming odds.
