The Toren Pole is a 12-foot pole weapon that’s fit for a giant. Crafted from metal and cedar wood, it combines a pogo stick and a sodium-fueled furnace. Pull the release lever, and the pole shoots out hot yellow flames. (“Milhamah: Fighting Words” hero Shem ‘Etzem is pictured for scale comparison.)
The Toren Pole comes from the נרת shoresh family, which governs poles, furnaces, bouncing, sodium, release levers, giants and more.
The Arid Annihilator Sword is a cut-and-dried weapon used by many warriors in the Milḥamah War. Its slash wreaks havoc on an enemy’s body, but the blade rarely gets bloody since all liquids quickly dissolve or evaporate upon its surface. However, wielders have to watch out for dehydration, so they usually use this sword for limited amounts of time.
The weapon is based on the חרב shoresh root, which has to do with destruction, droughts and carob.
Drought of Destruction (חרב): Qal stance. The user dwells on fiery anger or passion, imbuing his body with hydrophobic heat and causing the moisture to evaporate from objects and the air within a spherical area. The affected area might also be prone to cosmetic heat haze.
Noncombat: Roll DOMor VIGto hit. On average (3S), this speech act has a higher cost (2 MP), takestwo items with relevant semantic domains to prepare, two minutes to enact, lasts up to two hours and covers aradius of about 100 meters (or 300 feet). It is difficult (2S minimum required) to control well.
Success: The air in the affected area feels dry, plants may wither and living beings may get thirsty or fatigued. In areas with high moisture or lots of water, this skill might not actually harm ordinary living creatures and instead, for instance, evaporate pools of water or dry out soaked clothes. But in temperate or already dry climates, it may do combat damage.
Failure to hit: Failure can mean no dehydration occurs, or the area becomes wetter and more humid. Botching can cause the user to take 1DN Dry damage, and 1 Wound (ignoring armor) if the user has Water or Wet semantic domains. In addition, botching may cause combat damage to targets in range when unintended.
Combat Damage: When intending to harm, this skill on average does Success Margin +1DNDry damage, and 1 Wound (ignoring armor) if the user has Water or Wet semantic domains.
‘Ezrä ‘Ezer, the auxiliary verb, is a junior member of the Holy Tongue Society who’s an assistant to Pelë Po’al. While growing up on a farm gave him super strength, he also has a knack for a mechanics. And the Assistant Arm on his back gives him an additional helping hand!
This bionic arm, which is standard equipment among the Society, not only packs a powerful punch that fractures foes. Due to its ties to the זרע shoresh root, it also launches parasitic seed berries that can force enemies to fight for you! The only weakness it can’t overcome is ‘Ezrä’s compulsion to support his friends at all costs!
This drawing is the first digital art that I made on my new Wacom Cintiq 16 tablet via Clip Studio Paint. In 2021, I plan on developing my digital drawing skills in tandem with my standard vector art. If I can make CSP art quickly and efficiently, I might switch the comic over to B&W manga style in exchange of releasing more content quickly!

The Jagged Point is a common javelin that the ‘Ivrit Revival Movement uses in thrown or melee combat. Based on the חדד shoresh root, its mysterious iron alloy tip easily pierces most armor. Two sharp blades orbit and swirl around the spiked spearhead, giving it slashing as well as piercing damage. But only the most sharp-witted warriors can wield this without injuring themselves.
The Jagged Point has a close melee reach and a moderate thrown reach. It does DOM+3D slash and pierce damage. Hit targets must must make a successful LIF save or gain the bleedingailment.
The Nesheq is a weapon that promises to be the kiss of death… if you can figure out how to use it!
As Tiqwah Tawit (in civilian disguise) demonstrates, the Nesheq’s features come from the נשק shoresh root and broader family. It can launch a flaming explosive at its foes. Several jointed mechanical arms can grip or strangle opponents, and a sharp steel trap offers an extra bite. In addition, a swiveling hammer at the other end slams even the toughest enemies into the ground.
So what’s the only catch? The Nesheq’s user interface leaves… something to be desired. Flip the wrong switch or press the wrong button, and it can backfire on its user!
