Refaïm

The Refaïm are ghostly giants who are 'Ivrit's enemies.

The Refaïm are a tribe of barbaric ghost giants from the netherworld, Sheöl. They came back from the dead to oppose the ‘Ivrit Revival Movement. Besides their enormous size, they boast top-notch healing skills. So naturally they formed a covenant to serve as medics for the Bavel Macrostructure.

The Refaïm comes from the רפא shoresh root and family, and it will eventually appear in the Milhamah RPG and video game. My next sketch will make healing item that will be in the video game’s first demo!

Ḥamuṭal Teḥillah (Inktober Day 30)

Ḥamuṭal Teḥillah is the prefix.

Ḥamuṭal Teḥillah, the linguistic prefix, is a bundle of energy who cosplays as a kitty while fighting for the ‘Ivrit Revival Movement. Don’t let her kawaii looks fool you. She’s not afraid to earn some bandages, get dirty and prove that she’s better than a second-string rookie.

Based on the חתל shoresh root and family, her fighting style relies on slash attacks and firing speedy ammo. She loves to take initiative and claw her way to the battle’s front lines. Though she becomes a scaredy-cat when she bites off more than she can chew.

When she isn’t fighting, she burrows into her wardrobe and wraps herself in the latest fashion.

‘Anawah Tenu’ah (Inktober Day 14)

'Anawah Tenu'ah is the vowel.

‘Anawah Tenu’ah is the vowel in “Milhamah: Fighting Words.” She is a member of the ‘Ivrit Revival Movement’s Department of Phonology, and she oversees air combat operations.

Based on the נוע shoresh root and its family, Tenu’ah sends kinetic vibration shock waves at enemies. A backpack motor engine amplifies her super speed. She also wields a rattling sistrum as a weapon.

Tenu’ah is a motivational leader who makes grand gestures. She loves to join mass movements, but her desire to help others is motivated by guilt over secret past misdeeds. And while she’s always on the go, she dreams a day when she can simply hide away at home.
