Watch out for the Bungalow Byte’s bite!

This untamed block of corrupted data storage lurks around Bavel Gates, especially in ‘Aravot’s state of Medinat Bet. The Byte usually moves as a bloc in a “bet” formation, shaped like the Hebrew letter. But it can also separate into bungalow-shaped “bits” that swarm around and attack their target. Its true origins are unknown, though rumors say it’s a backfired cyberattack with domestic origins.

The Bungalow Byte’s powers comes from the בות shoresh family, which deal with homes, domesticity, bytes the letter bet, and returning.

Ṭarfa is the known name of a mysterious bounty hunter. This fierce, unholy predator is known to kidnap for ransom, rend targets with beastlike claws, or cleave to kill with a Lamina Blade machete. Thanks to plant powers, Ṭarfa can hide in foliage while surviving on a diet of plucked grapes, edible greens and forbidden meats. But what is this one’s true motive?

Ṭarfa is powered by the טרפ shoresh family, which governs ransom, food ritual impurity, claws, tearing to pieces, leaf blades, plucking, grapes and more.

The Ṭoref Scrambler is a disintegration raygun invented by the great engineer Shem Perati, father of Shem ‘Etzem. Peraṭi made the original device, codenamed Haftarah, out of an automatic card shuffler and an egg beater. Peraṭi used it to mine otiyot letters from objects, combine them into new forms and bend the laws of time and space.

But the device’s sponsorship came from the occupying Bavel Macrostructure, and the government ended up claiming and abusing the technology. On stun, discharging this gun can scramble a target’s brains and confuse it. Pulling the trigger while on kill disintegrates the target into basic otiyot letters. Bavel leaders ultimately want to weaponize the Toref to profane the Holy Tongue.

The Ṭoref Scrambler is powered by the טפר shoresh family, which governs scramblers, eggbeaters, shufflers, items, discharges, triggers, decomposition, death, the Haftarah, confusion, termination, anagrams, chronograms and ritual impurity.

Luqäs Mishqal represents the linguistic noun pattern. He is the guardian of Tashqili the Metrical Tree, the source of balance and wealth in the primeval garden of Pardes. And as a result of this inheritance, he is one of Avgad’s richest men and owns much of Mattanah City. Although he once backed the ‘Ivrit Revival Movement, his devotion suddenly switched to the Bavel Macrostructure, and now he funds Beli Ya’al’s war machine.

In his spare time, Mishqal consumes a diet of soft dough, grasses, boiled veggies and unripe produce. He hopes this will add mass to his pale, wispy and underdeveloped frame. When he exercises, his body heat elevates and burns all that he touches.

Also while he is weak, his touch has the power to make light metallic objects heavy and heavy metallic objects light. This gives him rhythm and balance in combat when he fights with his scales or pitchfork.

Evaluator eye lenses scan his surroundings for insight, and his composure is normally rational and measured, with only rare outbursts. However, he tends to work slowly and fall behind in his plans.
