While cerith snails normally occupy conical, pylon-shaped shells, these strange creatures demonstrate their loyalty to the Bavel Macrostructure by wearing Tower of Babel-themed shells (which are also sold at the tower’s gift shop). The cerith shell’s openings are rumored to house gun turrets that fire on intruders.

The Superstructure Cerith comes from the גדל shoresh root, which deals with cerith snails, towers, pylons, turrets and more.

Don’t get stuck behind the Slow Sweeping Specter in traffic!

This evil monster is based on an Akkadian zombie vampire ghost. It haunts the city of Mattanah and does personal surveillance work for the Bavel Macrostructure.

To become fireproof in a city of crazed arsonists, the specter tried to become a magician but only learned to fly a broom.  So instead, it ingests toxic chemicals that repel fire while slowing down its reflexes.

As a result, the specter is incompetent and late for almost everything — unless it catches people in its broom’s deceleration dust, which will sap their mobility as well.

The Slow Sweeping Specter is based on the אטט shoresh family, which deals with slowness, magicians, sweeping, brooms, ghosts and more.

The Dumpling Bundle is a stitched snack sack stuffed with doughy dumplings that are filled with kofta-style beef shoulder and other blended meats. The dish was first developed by cattle herders in Medinat Alef’s hilly Katef region.

Eventually, the dumplings grew popular among elite foodies in Bavel’s Mattanah city. ‘Ivrit’s Ulpan Academy cafeteria also serves the dish to its hungry troops, making this meal a rare point of agreement between the two warring factions.

This packaged predator hides among the piles of presents lining the streets of Mattanah, a wealthy Bavel city. When an unfortunate citizen, subject or creature opens the box expecting a reward, the jackal pounces. Unscrupulous donors — including Bavel’s Sotem forces — have used these traps to assassinate enemies.

The Jackal-in-the-Box is powered by the תנן shoresh root, which governs jackals, gifts, donors, delivery, citizens, subjects and more.

The Tannin Statistician is far from average!

This nerdy dragon has an odd eye for data, order and analysis, despite being a serpentine ancestor of Leviathan (Livyatan), Tiamat and other chaotic sea monsters. Even as a monster, this crocodilian calculator isn’t very mean. He often surrenders his lunch money and other valuables to the bully monsters.
