INKTOBER DAY 4 (SCALLOP): The Scurvy Scallop’s shell is tough mother of pearl, but its pearly whites leave something to be desired! One bite from its hinged, diseased maw can spread tetanus to the victim! However, this illness doesn’t affect the minnows that swim inside the scallop or the fountain on its head.

INKTOBER DAY 3 (BAT): The Trusty Musty Baseball Bat never strikes out!

This bat, carved from firewood, is tested by beating it against watermelons until it becomes discolored red and yellow. The bat grows damp and mossy, and its musty stench attracts flies. Then a fuse at the tip is added to defend against electrical attacks. A big padlock adds weight and prevents theft.  

Security forces, guards and executioners praise this weapon for its surefire kills. But swinging it around too much will overexert all but the strongest warriors.

INKTOBER DAY 2 (SCURRY): The Bishop Courier is a sentient chess piece that hastily relays secret messages to and from spies throughout the Bavel Macrostructure’s territory. It can zig-zag on a dime while sprinting, and it keeps enemies in “check” by swarming them from multiple angles.

The Falsetto Gargoyle sings off-key perverted ballads.

The Falsetto Gargoyle is a rejected idol statue who was chiseled out of the side of a mug filled with human waste and spoiled garbage. It smoothly and evenly hovers above ground. Then it blasts enemies with the distortion caused by singing off-key perverted ballads.

Its own singing causes damage to itself, causing the mug to chip over the years. But the noise does help a birthwort plant grow out of it.

The Porṭan Mushroom Forest is the stomping grounds of the prominent private researcher, Shem Peraṭi. Here he invented the Porṭan Portal, which the Bavel Macrostructure stole when they seized the land.

Porṭan is a wild place. The giant, horned psychedelic mushrooms scramble common communications signals, cutting off the land from the outside world. It’s easy to get lost in this sea of leaves and fungi, and many wanderers have lost their sanity as a result. Pluck and eat the wrong berries, and you’ll fall into a stupor. Smell the wrong blossom, and you’ll die. Carnivores feast upon gazelles and the weak. And decomposing corpses feed the forest’s soil and foliage.

The Porṭan Mushroom Forest comes from the טפר shoresh family, which governs portals, mushrooms, claws, predators, carnivores, leaves, insanity, scrambling, dropped berries, death, decomposition and more.
