A layer of caked-on peat moss and thick stitch scars protect the canine’s hide. The dog swims amid its own rabid foam, and its bite siphons off power while causing ritual contamination.

INKTOBER DAY 20 (BLUFF): The ‘Ashan Smoking Bluff is a shady place, both literally and figuratively.

Chimneys stick out of this buttressed bluff, belching out thick, sooty smoke that blocks out the sun. That’s because it contains a hidden underground factory for herbal cigarettes. And the factory gets rich off a support staff of prisoners, who keep the conveyor belts running smoothly.

Qir Evacuated Pit Town

INKTOBER DAY 14 (EMPTY): Qir is an evacuated town deep in Bavel territory. The place used to be a bustling spring and oasis, until the day when the shoresh roots burst forth from the earth — and a giant bottomless pit formed in the town square. Like a vacuum, the pit began sucking flimsy homes and palm trees into the void, and the town had to evacuate.

When the Bavel Macrostructure conquered the area, it practiced its construction prowess by building a giant wall made of asphalt and wax to seal off the pit.

INKTOBER DAY 11 (EAGLE): The Fallout Griffin is an mutant eagle/bobcat/lynx hybrid that developed due to exposure to radioactive fallout. That exposure makes the griffin powerful but clumsy, as it often drops from the sky due to molting too many feathers. While it’s a ferocious predator, its favorite food is fruit.

INKTOBER DAY 7 (TRIP): Tangling Tripwire Traps are roadway obstacles meant to ruin the journeys of insurgents who oppose the Bavel Macrostructure.

Bavel lays the booby traps across roads, usually near a flowering palm tree. An enlightening psalter is placed in the trap, baiting Holy Tongue Society members to approach. If the trap succeeds, a fanged cedar rope — used to tie animal legs — clamps the ankle, leaving the injured, entangled victim helpless.

Although Bavel is a dictatorship, its cultural elites have criticized the government when these traps accidentally kill innocent people’s relatives, friends and even children. However, the empire’s legal system puts the bereaved at a huge disadvantage.

インクトーバー 7 日目 (躓く): もつれさせるトリップワイヤー トラップは、バベル マクロ構造に反対する反乱軍の旅路を台無しにすることを目的とした道路障害物です。

バベルはブービートラップを道路を横切って、通常は開花しているヤシの木の近くに設置します。 啓発的な詩篇がトラップに配置され、聖舌協会のメンバーが近づくように餌を与えます。 罠が成功すると、動物の足を縛るのに使用される牙のある杉のロープが足首を締めて、負傷してもつれた犠牲者を無力にします。
